When doing the Elemental Gyms, you need to use the type of that elemental (Grass Gym means you need a Grass type pokemon to beat).
The Nobles Elementals are:
Ghost - Fighting - Dark - Psychic - Fire
Required lvl around 1000 - 1200 (Higher always possible when difficulties)
No Idea what pokemon to use or to train? Arceus is a good option to evolve in all types.
